I’m leaving Sunday the 16th for Las Vegas for the WPPI (wedding and portrait photographer’s international) conference and tradeshow. There’s going to be lots of great speakers and learning to do. Plus I’m sure I’ll come back with some great new products!
I’ll be gone until the afternoon of the 24th, but my wonderful assistant Sandra will be in the studio to answer emails and phone calls if anyone needs needs me while I’m gone.

It was absolutely gorgeous on Monday. And as luck would have it I was photographing a lovely couple Sara & Marco for their engagement album! These are my favorite images from the session. Please feel free to leave comments!

This was a really fun portrait taken near the ballpark. I’m trying a newish effect. I’m going for a vintage old photograph look.

I think this is my favorite image of the day (not counting the sunset). This uses the cross process effect which I think gives it a beautiful dreamy quality.

I just did some very minor enhancement on this one. They look so great together don’t they!

I absolutely love this one as well. There was quite a bit of natural selective focus from the lens and then I added a touch more on the left to really focus the attention on the couple.

I didn’t do a thing to this image. Is that a beautiful sunset or what!!!

Poor Marco got all wet and sandy so he threw his shirt away…

Kerry & Mark were wed March 1st in the lobby of the Merchant Exchange Building with the Reception following upstairs in the Julia Morgan Ballroom. We took the getting ready photos at the Omni hotel up the street on California and we also went down to the Embarcadero for some really beautiful bridal party portraits. These are some of my favorites:

Wow what beautiful rings

And a beautiful dress too!

Kerry looked so amazing!

This was their “first sighting” in the lobby of the Omni.

They both had to wipe away the tears!

This was taken in the lobby of the Omni.

This was taken on the street outside. The Merchant’s Exchange & Julia Morgan Ballroom are in the building across the street.

We went down to the Embarcadero for these beautiful photos. I think this one is my favorite.

This was taken with our special infrared camera. Notice how the satin of the bridesmaids black dresses reflects the infrared light and turns them white.

Such a fantastic looking bridal party!

Kerry was of course the rock star of the day! She had such an amazing smile and energy all day long!

Another stunning photograph of Kerry.

And another

This was again taken with the infrared camera.

We were a little worried it was going to rain, but it turned out to be such a beautiful sunny day!

This is taken by the fireplace upstairs in the Julia Morgan Ballroom.

We ventured into the ballroom before all the guests and captured this amazing photograph on the dancefloor.
