We had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Wente Winery in Livermore this past August. Karen & Gavin found us in Sacramento and were pleased to find that we photograph weddings all over the Bay area without charging a travel fee. Please enjoy this Wente Winery wedding.
The gorgeous floral arrangements are by Kimmie’s Floral Design (Contact Kimberly Mar – Phone (510) 303-9691)
Barrels topped with large arrangements flank the head of the ceremony aisle
Each table round had a perfectly sized arrangement in a glass column vase, wrapped in a gold ribbon.
In the golden light, the color palette was both crisply put together and warmly inviting. An incredibly classy yet comfortable combination.
The food was AWESOME. And I’m just speaking from the vendor meal perspective. Easily the most delectable & memorable vendor meal I can recall. I can only imagine what it was like to be a guest and have the opportunity to savor each course individually and without any time constraint….and with wine!
Here’s the groom, Gavin, getting ready in an upstairs room on the Wente Vineyards property. All his groomsmen were getting ready in the same room. Goofing off, dancing, and helping him prepare for his big day.
This is Karen, the blushing bride, getting ready with help from her bridesmaids. About to see her betrothed for a “first look” in the vineyard in her white lace gown.
Here’s their first look…
And then we followed them around for a while asking them to kiss now and then…
Trying to stay out of eachother’s frames.
We took a break from the Summer heat in the wine cave. Mischa brought out a small string of lights to add an artistic touch to some of the cave portraits.
The same string of lights added interest to the background of this ring photograph.
After we left the wine cave, Karen quickly changed into her red dress to greet family for their traditional Chinese tea ceremony.
Though we always try to frame our shots to avoid getting other people taking photos in the background of our images, sometimes… it just can’t be avoided.
With lightning speed, Karen changed back into her white lace wedding gown and made it down the aisle to be married.
The officiant was Pastor Joseph Chiu.
Following the ceremony, guests were invited to be seated at tables surrounding an outdoor dancefloor lit with market lights. The bridal party was introduced by
the MC/DJ team from Prolific Pro
Lion dancers from Hung Sing Martial Arts entertained the guests.
Then, we stole the bride and groom for a few portraits in the last light of day.
We got them back in time for toasts, dinner, and their first dance as husband and wife.
It was a warm and wonderful Summer day at Wente Vineyards, Karen & Gavin’s families were kind and accommodating to us and we hope you enjoyed this peek into their beautiful event.
We loved celebrating along with them and look forward to the next opportunity to photograph a Wente Winery wedding.
