Sacramento family portraits

Mischa and I made the move from San Francisco to Sacramento 5 years ago. The decision to relocate had so many factors, we wanted to expand our business to include a storefront and we REALLY wanted to move our client meeting space out of our living room. We also had dreams of buying a home, getting married, and starting a family together. Our move to Sacramento made all of those dreams come true, and then some. What we didn’t expect to fall in love with about Sacramento is the sense of community. We are so thankful to all the families we’ve met, in our relatively short time here, Sacramento family portraits have proven to be some of our very favorite sessions to photograph.

Edie & Lloyd’s family is a highlight of our 2016 Sacramento family portraits. If Edie looks familiar, it could be due to her high profile as a KCRA news anchor. It’s no wonder she has won the hearts of viewers, she’s really delightful. Edie wanted to try and find some specific wildflowers to incorporate into the shoot, and Mischa did a little scouting to find just the right space.

After the shoot, Edie sent us a note, which read in part–
Thank you so much for the time and care you took in making sure the shoot would be perfect. It meant a lot to me to find California poppies, which always remind me of my dad. He never got to meet my youngest daughter, but he would have loved her. She’s named for him and I truly love the photos of her with the poppies. You captured so much love, joy and friendship between my girls and with us as a family. I had hoped to have some images that would freeze this moment in time, when both of my girls are little and changing so quickly. You exceeded every hope I had, and these are photos we will treasure.”
